The first [[Wiki]] website was [[WikiWikiWeb]], founded in 1995 by [[Ward Cunningham]]. [[WikiWikiWeb]] grew steadily from 1995 to 1998 and then snowballed. Rapid growth lead to conflicts, which were dramatically expressed by the massive deletions of the [[WikiReductionists]] in 2000. In an amical resolution to the conflict [[Sunir Shah]] created [[MeatballWiki]] to transfer discussion of [[WikiOnWiki]] topics off of [[WikiWikiWeb]]. Shortly thereafter, Richard Drake created the WhyClublet wiki to transfer from [[WikiWikiWeb]] discusion of Christian topics. Founded in 2001, [[Wikipedia]] brought the concept of wikis to the attention of the general public. A series of wikis were created more-or-less as forks from [[MeatballWiki]]. In 2003 were created CommunityWiki, the French wiki CraoWiki, and the German wiki GruenderWiki. Helmut Leiter created FractalWiki to explore the idea of WikiFractacality, and Lion Kimbro created the WikiNodes wiki to develop the WikiNode concept, which is a form of InterWiki. WikiIndex is a wiki directory of wikis, which is another form of [[InterWiki]]. Chongqed is a wiki about WikiSpam. AboutUs is a comprehensive directory of websites in the form of a wiki. ==Links== See the Wikis Database at: http://toolswiki.ouvaton.org [[Category:Wikis]]
